Lead Pastor

Ben Hewitt 

Ben Hewitt is the Lead Pastor and Church Planter of Church in the Valley in Knoxville, Tennessee. Alongside his wife, Beth, he is helping launch the seventh church plant in the Well Church Network since 2016.

For the past two years, Ben served in pastoral residency at Church at the Oaks in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he was equipped and trained for church planting ministry. He earned a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching.

Ben and Beth met while attending Samford University and were married in 2020. They have two children, Emmy and Shepherd. When he is not serving the church, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, running, and good coffee. 

Ben is passionate about helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and live on mission. His desire is to see a gospel-centered, disciple-making church established in Knoxville that reaches the city, the University of Tennessee, and the nations with the hope of Christ.
